This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, use, share, and protect the personal data of users of WiseTip — our iOS app and the website at wisetip.com. We comply with GDPR and — for users in California — with CCPA/CPRA.

Capitalized terms (Service, User, User Content, Terms) have the meaning given in the WiseTip Terms of Service.

1. Data Controller

WiseTip Prosta Spółka Akcyjna w organizacji (Simple Joint-Stock Company in organization), ul. Ostrowska 22/3, 71-757 Szczecin, Poland. TIN: pending. Share capital: PLN 10,000. Company registration pending.

2. Categories of Personal Data

  • Provided directly: email, username, gender (optional), social media links, User Content (text, photos, videos). Age verification is handled through acceptance of these Terms during registration.
  • Collected automatically: IP address, device identifier (App Store), device model, OS version, activity in the Service.
  • Analytics: aggregated or pseudonymized data about how you use the Service.
  • Newsletter: email — only with explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We do not collect special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR). If you include such data in User Content, you bear sole responsibility.

Profiling: Activity data may be used to recommend content. No automated decisions with legal effects. To object: support@wisetip.com.

4. Recipients of Personal Data

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — server infrastructure and hosting
  • Amplitude — usage analytics (pseudonymized)
  • Email service providers
  • Content moderation tools

Business partners — with explicit consent only. Public authorities — as required by law. We do not sell data (CCPA/CPRA). Transfers outside the EEA use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

5. Tracking Technologies (iOS / ATT)

iOS: Per Apple ATT, the app may prompt for consent to track activity. Change anytime: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Amplitude: Pseudonymized data. To object: support@wisetip.com.

Website: Strictly necessary cookies (always active) and analytics cookies (via consent banner).

6. Your Rights

  • Access to your data and a copy (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure — right to be forgotten (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

Requests to support@wisetip.com. Response within 30 days (GDPR) / 45 days (CCPA/CPRA).

California residents: right to know what data is disclosed (we don't sell), opt-out of behavioral ad data sharing, non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

7. Security

We apply TLS/SSL encryption, pseudonymization, least-privilege access controls, and regular internal security reviews. In the event of a breach, we notify the supervisory authority within 72 hours (Art. 33 GDPR) and inform users if there is high risk (Art. 34 GDPR).

8. Changes to This Policy

We notify users at least 15 days in advance of material changes by email or in-app notification. Changes requiring new consent are implemented only after obtaining it.

9. Final Provisions

This Policy forms an integral part of the WiseTip Terms of Service. Consumer disputes may be resolved via the EU ADR platform: consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. Questions: support@wisetip.com.
